Coopers Place, one of the largest retailers in Israel, said Tuesday that it would donate to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East.
The company is the largest retailer in the region, and the United States has been the largest donor to the organization.
“The global health crisis is too complex and too complex to ignore,” said Coopers President Michael Wiborg.
“We can’t let the suffering of millions of people in our region and around the world be ignored.”
Coopers Place has also been an outspoken supporter of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel, and has been a frequent donor to organizations working to end the country’s occupation of Palestinian territories.
The chain also has donated to the Israeli government.
